Shahbaz attended CARE’s Access to English Program at Sheranwala Gate, Lahore. He obtained a B.S. in Business Accounting and Finance from GC University, Lahore. He worked with CARE as a volunteer twice as a Teacher Trainer and taught English classes at various institutions. He is currently a Commissioned Officer in the Pakistan Air Force. He believes that CARE played a key role in strengthening both his confidence level and communication skills.
Salman is a talented writer and teacher. He attended Government High School Sheranwala gate, completed religious education (Dars E Nizami) and is currently pursuing a post-graduate degree at Al-Medina University International. He has taught English at CARE Foundation & KIPS, trained multiple private school teachers and has delivered online lectures to individuals from various countries. Salman is now writing a book on phonics and rhyming words for a private school.
Barkat has used his education and expertise to drive his career forward. He is a former CARE student from Government Islamia Sigh School Sheranwala Gate, Lahore. He completed his undergraduate and post-graduate studies from the University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Lahore. He worked on projects related to food safety and quality control with Nestle Pakistan, KFC, and Tetra Pact Pvt. He is currently a Food Safety officer at Al-Tamimi Global in Doha, Qatar. Al-Tamimi is the largest non-affiliated corporate law firm in the Middle East.
Salman achieved academic and professional growth on an international scale. He attended the CARE Access to English micro-scholarship program at Government Islamia High School Sheranwala Gate, Lahore. He then completed his Bachelor’s with first class honors from Oxford Brookes University, United Kingdom. After college, Salman successfully completed his ACCA qualification and joined a UK based accountancy outsourcing firm called Azure Global. He moved on to secure a job with the world’s second largest shipping company. He is currently serving as an Account Executive in the company’s Somalia based office.
Tanveer, a former CARE student from City District Government Boys High School in Township, Lahore, is the only member of his family to have obtained a postgraduate degree. He attributes his success to CARE’s Access to English Language Program (AELP). The program also gave him a platform to participate in multiple debate competitions and Model United Nations conferences. He is currently an English Lecturer at the Punjab Group of Colleges.
Shaban’s father was a railway servant and had limited means to provide for his six children. After receiving a score of 727 on his matriculation exams, he applied for CARE’s scholarship program and was granted a full scholarship to pursue his Bachelor’s at the University of Punjab. He completed his Masters at the same university and later got a job as a Lecturer through the Ministry of Defense. During his posting at Cadet College, Skardu, he was given an opportunity to work as a Uniform Personnel. Today, he is serving Pakistan as a Flying Officer.
