33 Purpose Built Schools & 683 Public Adopted Schools

WHY BUILD AND ADOPT SCHOOLS SIMULTANEOUSLY?

To expand our reach so that more children have an opportunity to receive a high quality education. CARE is the pioneer of public and private school partnerships. In 1998, CARE initiated a public-private partnership with the City District Government of Lahore, which gave us the jurisdiction to adopt 10 non-functional government schools. We've taken a multitude of public schools under our wing since then. These schools had low enrollment numbers, high drop out rates, unqualified teachers and crumbling facilities.

OUR APPROACH

CARE builds schools on donated land. We appoint head teachers and actively run each school. CARE schools follow the oxford syllabus until 7th grade. Afterwards, we teach the  government syllabus so students are prepared for their boards

After adopting a public school, CARE implements high academic standards that are at par with other CARE Purpose Built Schools. We have achieved a 400% enrollment increase, a 10% decrease in dropouts, and double shifts in 100+ schools

After adopting a public school, CARE pays expenses for urgent infrastructure needs: Boundary walls, computer labs, science labs, and libraries. We want our students to learn in an environment that enhances their academic experience
